Training Philosophy

Mutt Manager has a very reward based dog training philosophy. Simply said, we believe that you should never have to touch your dog to get it to do anything. Training should be fun for the dog and the handler. We do not believe that a dog should behave out of fear. Instead, they should behave because they find it rewarding.

It is our philosophy that if you spend time with your dog, in a positive manner, rewarding good behavior, you can achieve the dog you've always dreamed of.

After completing 6 weeks of basic obedience with our trainer, we believe that your dog will sit and lay-down on a single command - no more repeating yourself. Your dog will stay 3 feet away from the front door when a visitor arrives. Your dog will drop it and leave it whatever it might be. Your dog will be eager to come back to you. Your dog will look forward to a peaceful walk around the neighborhood at your side.

We achieve all of this without a prong collar or choker chain, and without displaying our dominance over your dog. Without ever touching your dog we can work with you to teach your dog that it's good to be a good dog.
