Basic & Advanced Obedience

Mutt Manager offers a variety of Basic Obedience Courses. These classes are limited to 6 dogs per session, so please RSVP to ensure availability. Group classes include:

Puppy Preschool ($100)

This 6-week course addresses common behavior problems in puppies under 6 months of age. Such as chewing, house training, jumping, leash pulling, crate training, and is an introduction to basic obedience commands; sit, down, stay, come, and leave it. Click Here for Class Schedules

Puppy Socialization ($75)

Julie Voelker of Millie & Bo's Barkery and Dr Larry Baker of Northgate Pet Clinic offer a 4-week Puppy Socialization Class, Tuesdays from 6-7pm. This is a socialization class which will expose your puppy to a variety of situations includings noise, other dogs, strange costumes, random objects, etc. Their focus is to create a more rounded dog in the sociailziation area -- which is VERY important - their focus is not on obedience or problem behavior. K9 Kindergarten ($100)

This is a follow up course for puppies under 6 months of age that want to continue to advance the obedience commands taught in Puppy Preschool: sit, down, stay, wait, come and leave it, as well as loose leash walking. Click Here for Class Schedules

Basic Obedience ($100)

This 6-week course address common issues like chewing, digging, house training, jumping, leash pulling, and other unwanted behaviors. This class also introduces basic obedience commands; sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and loose leash walking. Click Here for Class Schedules

Advanced Obedience ($100)
Prerequisite: Must Complete Puppy Preschool or Basic Obedience

This 4-week course is a follow up to the Basic Obedience class and offers continued training for basic obedience commands; sit, down, stay, wait, come, and leave it. In this class we also introduce a proper heel. Click Here for Class Schedules

Travel Manners ($100)
Prerequisite: Puppy Preschool or Basic Obedience recommended

This 6-week course is an advanced class which travels from location to location to help dogs generalize the obedience commands taught in previous courses: Sit, Down, Stay, Come as well as working individually with owners on problems they may have when taking their dogs into the public. Toys & Tricks($100)
Prerequisite: Puppy Preschool or Basic Obedience recommended

This 6-week is a fun class for owners wanting to bond with their dogs in a fun environment. This is a great class for dogs that are under-socialized and for puppies still in the socialization stage. In this class we introduce dogs to new objects, obstacles, and games. In this class we also teach a variety of fun tricks such as: Shake, Take a Bow, High Five, Crawl, etc. The sky is the limit in this class, and each class is modified to suit the students needs/wants.
